Job Description

We are recruiting on behalf of one of the world\'s best known investment management firms who are looking to hire a Regional Business Development Manager to be based and sell to advisory and discretionary clients in the South West of England (as far north as Birmingham and as far east as Bournemouth).

This is an ideal opportunity for an experienced fund salesperson to join a top tier organisation with an ambitious team and excellent department head.

The day to day of the role would include:

• Travelling the region selling to new advisory and discretionary clients, following up on new leads and identifying cross-selling opportunities
• Manage a portfolio of clients in that region by providing a high level of service to existing clients
• Selling a wide range of investment products ranging from fixed income, equities, multi asset and passive investments
• Working collaboratively with the sales support and telesales team to effectively follow up on new business leads
• Keeping track of new market trends and using this to spot new business opportunities for the sales development plan

The ideal candidate will have:

• Previous fund sales experience for an asset management firm, with demonstrable client and sales wins
• To be based and happy to travel around the SW region of the UK
• Have previous interaction with advisory and discretionary clients
• A solid understanding of investment products and asset classes
• To work collaboratively and effectively as part of a wider distribution team
