Recruitment Assistant

Working within a small team and reporting into the Lead Recruiter for Grocery and Consumer Recruitment Team, this role will support the volume recruitment activity across the Grocery and Consumer sector within Wincanton.

We are recruiting for a Recruitment Assistant who will provide site management with end to end recruitment support across the sector. Working closely as a team while supporting site hiring managers you will take ownership for managing and recruiting to fill site vacancies and reporting and while working to develop an excellent candidate experience.

Duties and responsibilities:

• Reporting to the Recruitment Lead supporting the Grocery and Consumer sector to achieve the business talent strategy objectives.
• Provide support and guidance to hiring managers through our recruitment platform within Oracle cloud.
• Supporting and arranging interviews and assessments for suitable candidates.
• Making offers of employment to suitable candidates.
• Providing management information to the business to support the sectors overarching talent, succession, and development framework.
• Continually review processes improving the candidate experience

Experience, skills, and attributes:

• Resourcing experience in a high-volume environment
• Experience of working with an ATS or other recruitment systems
• The ability to work in a highly agile, fast paced matrix environment whilst managing a variety of senior stakeholders
• able to prioritise issues in an efficient manner and to effectively support and challenge where appropriate
• Possess the interpersonal skills, integrity, and commercial awareness to maintain excellent working relationships at all levels
• Ability to work well under pressure whilst demonstrating strong organisational skills
• Enthusiastic and self-disciplined with a proactive approach to work
• Analytical skills to interpret data

This is a hybrid role and will cover multiple sites nationally. The candidate to be flexible as travel will be required from time to time. You will need to able to influence stakeholders at all levels providing support and guidance to deliver a pragmatic and commercial solution to recruitment.
