Job summary
We are currently recruiting for a confident and proactive Recruitment & HR Officer to work on a remote basis, initially for a period of 12 months. This key role supports the Recruitment & HR team with a particular focus on managing the co-ordination of vacancies from authorisation to offer and onboarding, ensuring regular engagement with candidates and hiring managers throughout the process. This busy and challenging role requires a motivated, flexible and positive individual with excellent communication skills and the ability to multi-task and deliver on a range of priorities. A background in Recruitment and/or HR is essential to ensure we offer a high level of service to our stakeholders and candidates. Livestock Information is a fully remote company, committed to developing world leading standards of livestock traceability in the UK which will enable a competitive trade advantage, improved sector resilience and faster responses to animal disease outbreaks. We are a data led organisation with an ambition to enable a more sustainable and competitive meat and livestock sector through our single, modern, and efficient traceability service. This position is available as a secondment basis or as a fixed term contract. Both options are Home Based, with occasional travel for meetings.
Job description
Proactively manage all vacancies from authorisation through to offer, using the ATS to update and track progress
Regularly liaise with candidates to support the recruitment journey and promote Livestock Information Ltd as an employer
Actively support internal Hiring Managers and provide advice and guidance on the recruitment process
Process and advertise vacancies on a variety of job boards and monitor response, making suggestions to improve candidate attraction
Proactively manage all associated recruitment and employee paperwork against audit requirements, and ensure Right to Work documentation falls in line with Home Office guidelines
Deal with a variety of recruitment and HR related queries both over the phone and in writing, whilst monitoring the recruitment and HR inbox
Create contracts and process new starters, ensuring a smooth onboarding process
Manage employee changes, leavers, and any other relevant administration support
Support the HR team with Employee Relations cases
Manage flexible working requests and maternity cases
Support the HR Service Lead in the implementation of key HR initiatives
Person specification
Previous experience working in a Recruitment function with a good understanding of in-house recruitment processes, ideally with additional experience gained in a HR capacity
Positive outlook and able to work within a fast-paced environment with a varied workload
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Good attention to detail
Strong project management and organisational skills
Proactive team player
