Then come join us in Theatre Recovery at NUH.We are looking for highly motivated, enthusiastic and proactive Adult and Paediatric trained nurses/ODP's to join our friendly and supportive teamNUH Theatre Recovery spans 2 campuses - QMC and City - and provides care for patients in the immediate post-operative phase for both adult and paediatric patients covering 46 operating theatres following emergency and elective surgeries. Surgical specialties include major trauma, orthopaedics, neurosurgery, hepatobiliary, general surgery, maxillofacial, spinal surgery, eye surgery, ENT, obstetrics, vascular, upper GI, thoracic and burns. Paediatric patients are cared for at QMC.Main duties of the jobYou will be joining a pro-active, dynamic team of nurses and ODP's, who offer the best standards of perioperative care.Every day is different - challenging but rewarding. We pride ourselves on team work, learning and being forward thinking.Expectations are to deliver a high quality service, with patient safety a priority.You should be able to demonstrate effective team working and work to the highest standards of evidence basedpractice.A sense of humour and pride in your job is essential.NUH is a Major Trauma Centre offering fantastic support to a diverse range of students and learners and therefore the successful applicant should either hold or be willing to work towards a level three mentorship qualification.The successful applicant will participate in the current Main Theatre Recovery rota which includes out of hours work, nights and weekend shifts. • Current level one NMC registration or HCPC registration

• Evidence of Continuing Professional Development or other relevant courses

• Demonstrate effective written communication skills

• Demonstrate Computer literacy & use of IT skills - e.g. e-mail, Excel, PowerPoint and Word

• Demonstrate an understanding of the Theatre/Recovery role

• Experience of delivering care to patients in an acute hospital setting.

• Current level one NMC registration or HCPC registration

• Evidence of Continuing Professional Development or other relevant courses
