Job Description

We are looking for an apprentice to join our existing Reception team at THE LODGE DENTAL.

This is a multi-skilled role for the successful candidate who will undertake a wide range of administration duties as well as face to face and telephone interactions with patients and visitors.

We are looking for someone who is dedicated, professional, self-motivated, and who works well under pressure. The successful applicant will have good levels of literacy, IT, customer service, problem solving and interpersonal skills, with a commitment to the responsibilities of the role. Previous experience of working in a Dental practice is NOT ESSENTIAL as full training will be provided. The successful candidate will have the opportunity in the future to train in other roles within the practice, with potential opportunities to experience nursing and secretarial work. We aim to develop our apprentices to a level where they have the skills and training needed to stand out from others when searching for jobs. Currently, all apprentices who have completed their programme at The Lodge Dental have been offered full time roles and are continuing to develop. Apprentices wishing to go into a nursing / healthcare career can benefit from training from our nursing team on how to take bloods, carry out health checks and measure BP etc.

Future Prospects: We have trained a number of apprentices - all of whom have been offered full time jobs on regular pay. We are passionate about the development of our apprentices beyond the apprenticeship programme. Our current apprentices are continuing to develop their skills and competencies within the practice.

Qualifications required: GCSE passes in core subjects (English, Maths, Science)

Use of IT (windows, Word etc)
A decent level of English

Working week: Monday - Friday (9-5)

Apprenticeship standard: Customer Service Practitioner Level 2 Apprenticeship.
