We have a fantastic opportunity for a receptionist to join our growing business, based in Huddersfield.
The prime role of a receptionist is to process all incoming telephone calls with no undue delay and in a courteous and helpful manner. Similarly, as receptionist, to receive and process all visitors to the firm, especially clients, in a helpful, friendly and professional manner. In these respects, there is a high degree of responsibility to project the image and ethos of the firm at all times.
Your responsibilities will include:
The effective processing of all incoming telephone calls including the logging of calls and the conveying of messages.
To ensure external e-mails/enquires are passed onto the relevant teams.
To undertake any specific training when required to do so and overall to have a responsibility towards self-development.
Handling of hand delivered documents and ensuring they reach the recipient.
The provision of telephone support to partners and other staff members as required.
Dealing with all visitors to the reception area, especially new clients.
To ensure the tidiness of the reception area.
To ensure the confidentiality and security of the firm's and client's documents and information.
To provide guidance to junior and temporary administration staff when required to do so.
To undertake any reasonable task as requested.
Taking occasional card payments.
Assisting with filing
Updating reception documents
Taking receipt of deliveries
Person specification - key skills/qualifications required:
Reliable, conscientious, smart, professional dress and demeanour
Trained on modern telephone systems and preferably with experience in a professional office
High standard of inter-personal and communication skills, especially in the context of client care
Some experience of IT application relevant to reception work
