Job Details - Responsibilities and Duties:
We have a part-time positions available for 22.5 hours per week. We are open between the hours of 08:00 - 20:00.
The shifts will be:
Monday: 12:30 - 18:30
Wednesday: 12:30 - 17:00, 17:00 - 20:00
Thursday: 12:30 - 17:00
Friday: 08:00 - 12:30
There are also extra bank hours Monday - Friday.

GP Receptionist
, working across our two sites in Ash Vale and Frimley Green. As a training practice, we are committed to supporting your growth and development within our team.
In this role, you will be the first point of contact for our patients, ensuring they receive a welcoming and professional service. The ideal candidate will have excellent communication skills, the ability to multitask, and a proactive approach to problem-solving. While experience in a primary care environment is beneficial, full training will be provided for the right candidate.
Main duties of the job
Patient Interaction:
Manage patient flow at reception, assisting with appointments, prescriptions, and general inquiries.
Answer and make telephone calls, directing patients appropriately and handling messages accurately.
Discuss patient symptoms and signpost them to the most appropriate service.
Administrative Duties:
Schedule and manage patient appointments using the
EMIS
system.
Process patient requests, including home visit bookings.
Assist the clinical team with administrative support as needed.
Maintain and update patient records, ensuring confidentiality and accuracy.
Reception & Facility Management:
Keep the reception area tidy and welcoming.
Ensure the practice is opened/closed securely when required.
Provide cover for colleagues during holidays and sickness.
What We're Looking For
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with a patient-focused approach.
Ability to work efficiently under pressure in a busy environment.
Strong organisational skills and attention to detail.
Computer literacy is essential; knowledge of
EMIS
is an advantage (training provided).
Prior reception or customer service experience (minimum
2 years preferred
).
Flexibility to work the specified shifts
without changes

Good command of
English
(spoken and written).
A good range of computer skills is essential. EMIS system knowledge is preferable, however not essential as training will be provided to the right person.
Two years customer service experience is preferred.
English to a good standard is required.
Computer skills to a good standard is required.
WTE: 37.5 hours a week
Uniformed blouse is provided.
