RECEPTION TEACHER - Required for September 2025 to 31 March 2026

MPR3-MPR6, depending on experience
Rated Outstanding in all areas by Ofsted in March 2023, Wellfield Infant and Nursery School is a two form entry mainstream school with a Small Specialist Class for pupils with ASD/ SCD attached.
Due to the retirement of our Deputy Headteacher this summer, we are looking to release our EYFS Lead from class for the autumn and spring term during the next academic year to allow her to cover this role until the new Deputy Head has been appointed. As such, we are offering a four day class teacher role in one of our Reception classes. The two Reception classes share an open plan bay which offers the chance for the successful candidate to work more closely as a team alongside the other Reception teacher and the Reception teaching assistant, both of whom are highly skilled and experienced.
We are looking for someone who can demonstrate that they:-
Are committed to supporting Senior Leaders in the Safeguarding of pupils
Have at least two years experience of teaching in the EYFS
Are a highly motivated and skilled EYFS practitioner with sound knowledge and understanding of the EYFS Statutory Framework and Development Matters
Are able to create exciting and effective learning environments, both indoors and outdoors
Work well as part of a team and effectively share roles and responsibilities in order to ensure the smooth running of an EYFS classroom
Have high expectations of pupils and their team
Establish strong partnerships with parents and carers
