TE3189-25-046The School of Architecture, Technology and Engineering (ATE) at the University of Brighton comprises ~130 academics, who bring a strong portfolio of high-quality, practice-based research and knowledge exchange over a range of disciplines including sustainable energy systems, manufacturing, robotics and automation, applied thermal fluids, visual computing, secure software engineering, structures, built environment, values and sustainability, and architecture and design with particular emphasis on communities and sustainability.We are looking for a self-motivated individual to lead a vibrant community of researchers (as a Professor or a Reader) working to develop innovative solutions in the area of sustainable energy systems (focused on alternative fuel systems for transportation). In order to be selected for this post, you will have a record of nationally (and possibly internationally) recognised research excellence consummate with career stage (in line with an area which aligns with our internationally recognised ). A sustained record of UKRI grant income (or equivalent) and of leading major research programmes (consummate with career stage) with academic and non-academic partners is also desirable. Experience of leading / supporting a REF submission in the Unit of Assessment B12 will also be an advantage. You will be engaged in teaching within the broad area of Mechanical / Automotive / Aerospace Engineering within the school. As a professor in the School, you would also be expected to:
