Manage and direct the Rail Management team to achieve business and functional objectives and meet key performance measures.2. Manage development of individuals and the engagement of the team.3. Manage the arrangements for staff safety and competence.4. Identify and implement asset performance, reliability, productivity and efficiency improvement initiatives.5. Develop and agree inspection, testing and maintenance programmes.6. Deliver inspection, testing and work in accordance with the agreed programme.7. Manage the inspection, testing and maintenance of assets to standards.8. Prioritise work arising and agree work plans.9. Accurately update systems, databases and records as required.10. Undertake technical inspections and investigations.11. Undertake an agreed programme of staff surveillance, work quality and asset condition checks.Job Skills, Experience and Qualifications:Essentialxc2xb7 Relevant technical competence in rail management processes and techniquesxc2xb7 Detailed knowledge of relevant standards and proceduresxc2xb7 Knowledge of other functional disciplinesxc2xb7 Knowledge of operational railway environmentxc2xb7 Good interpersonal, influencing, communication and organisation skillsxc2xb7 HNC/ HND or equivalent qualificationDesirablexc2xb7 Knowledge of coaching techniquesHow to apply (External)Salary: xc2xa343,588 - xc2xa355,574 plus xc2xa33,270 Inner London Allowance (Salary has been increased to Zone 2)The salary package also includes:75% off rail travel for you and your partner
