Job purpose
You will provide radiation protection advice and training to clients both in the UK and overseas and will be providing support to other groups within the Tracerco business unit.
You will report to the RPA Manager as part of this busy and successful team, and you will enjoy a forward-thinking culture and progressive environment. You will be based from home but be expected to travel around the UK to meet with clients and visit the northern office on a monthly basis.
You will assist with the provision of support in the preparation of local rules and risk assessments, as well as providing radiation protection training in the UK and overseas.

Your responsibilities:
Presentation / delivery of radiation protection training courses to customers
Site visits to conduct site inspections and audits, some training. Work both onshore and offshore, work at heights, confined spaces.
Drafting of local rules / radiation procedures, risk assessments for clients
Writing of technical scientific reports from site visits/audits which include non-compliances and improvement recommendations.
Good communication and interpersonal skills are essential for the role.
Regular interactions with UK regulators (HSE, EA and SEPA)
Securing environmental permits on behalf of customers
Requirements for the role:
Educated to degree level in a science or engineering related subject.
Industry experience within Oil & Gas, Chemical, Engineering or Manufacturing (highly desirable).
Excellent interpersonal skills, able to deal with customers and colleagues alike at all levels.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills (both written and oral).
A self-starter who is motivated, well organised, able to complete tasks to agreed deadlines.
Possess a full UK driving licence.
