Your new role:
Southend-on-Sea City Council are looking to appoint a full time, permanent Children and Families Worker to join the Assessment and Intervention Team.
The successful candidate will assist the advanced practitioners and management in assessment and intervention work with children and their families. They will implement intervention programmes and deliver updates on the relevant progress made by families. Assist the AP in ensuring that all case management complies with the statutory requirements and the council's policies and procedures. They will liaise with other agencies and organisations, who are collating information for relevant assessments and care plans for children as well as preparing/submitting written reports.
You will bring your own skills and knowledge around child development, parenting strategies.
This is a case holding post.
Within this position, hybrid working opportunities are available. However, you are required to be on-site at the Civic Centre a minimum of 2 days a week.

What you'll need to succeed:
To be successful in this position you must have experience of working with children and families in a multi-disciplinary environment.
It would be beneficial to have GCP2 training.
Have knowledge of child development and awareness of relevant legislation and regulations re: safeguarding of children. You must have the ability to write case records, reports and letters to a high standard including analytical content.
