Role: Quantity Surveyor
Location: Cumbria

Do you possess substantial experience in Quantity Surveying and are now looking for a new challenge? We are thrilled to announce exciting vacancies for Experienced Quantity Surveyors, one to work within our Civils team and the other within our MEICA team. This is your chance to bring your expertise to a dedicated and ambitious team, working on cutting-edge projects within the Nuclear sector.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead and guide a commercial/project team in all project-related commercial actions and tasks.
  • Foster effective communication across the commercial team to ensure seamless project operations.
  • Take charge of subcontract management for the projects, providing expert oversight.
  • Execute daily commercial administration and associated duties efficiently.
  • Ensure the management of project commercial documentation to guarantee accuracy and completeness.
Accountabilities:
  • Assure accurate and timely communication and reporting of data to all stakeholders.
  • Proactively identify and address existing or potential issues, working closely with the Quantity Surveyor/Senior Quantity Surveyor.
  • Uphold compliance with approved processes, procedures, and project executive plans.
  • Play a pivotal role in advancing the functional quality and performance of Quantity Surveying through proactive contributions.
Qualifications and Experience:
  • Extensive prior experience within a project commercial team, showcasing a strong track record.
  • Profound knowledge and experience in managing subcontracts.
  • Bachelor of Science (BSc) in a related subject or equivalent experience.
  • Chartered member of a recognized organization (RICS or CIOB) would be advantageous.
  • Excellent knowledge of commercial aspects pertaining to civil and infrastructure projects.
  • Proficiency in working with a Contract Management System (CEMAR or similar).
  • Possession of (or eligibility for) UK Nuclear industry clearance is essential.
