Quality Technician

Whitstable

Permanent- Full-time

Up to \xc2\xa330,000 + pension, life assurance, 25 days + stats holiday.

A Global manufacturer of air handling systems have an opportunity for a role within Quality Engineering. This role will work in close partnership with the Engineering & Operations team to address current quality challenges in both the office and factory.

With full support, the Quality Technician will work with the wider team to make sure that our products are safe, reliable and meet customer expectations.

Their Quality department is responsible for introducing new processes & procedures and driving continuous improvements across the full product life cycle.

Responsibilities:

• Overall Quality representation, responsible for product and process adherence.
• Participate in capability studies on both existing and new equipment.
• Monitoring, Analysing Quality Performance with identification and implementation of improvements.
• Defining Periodic checks including requirements and carrying out the checks for Materials and components deemed critical in performance of product.
• Support Prototype, Sample and Controlled Product Change builds through Pre-Production and Production cells
• Support NCR (Non-conformance Report) process to implement improvements.
• Support the Health and Safety Engineer to provide overall company SHEQ adherence and reporting.
• Assist with introduction of new projects into the factory with the operational development team.

Requirements:

• Experience within a Manufacturing company with the desire to enter into a Quality Engineering role.
• Experience with any QA, Inspection and familiarity with lean principles, ISO, DMAICM 8D, route cause, FAIRs, TS16949, FMEA, Control Plans, SPC, and PPAPs would be preferred.
• Organised and self-disciplined with the ability to think quickly and solve problems & prioritise work.
• HNC or Equivalent experience within Mechanical / Production Engineering, Technicians Certificate, Inspection/ Mechanical Apprenticeship is preferable.
