Job Description

The Quality Technician is responsible for the following:



Completion of product inspections inline with internal and external requirementso Verifying product conformance with the operation and application of various traditional inspection equipment, utilizing different inspection methods and techniques Perform technical inspections for new / prototype parts through our NPI system; Producing documentation (ISIR / F&F / PPAP) for relevant stakeholders Completion of daily process audits challenging process failures and/or weaknesses, organise and contribute to the resolution of identified failures. Provide technical support to production in order to maintain production, customer requirements and standards Resolve internal, supplier and customer non-conformances by methodologically investigating the manufacturing process to determine the root cause. Produce 8D reports and issue to relevant stakeholders in line with KPIs Manage problems utilizing existing logs and registers ensuring they are closed out to the required standard and within set time timescales. Support in the management of the calibration system, including internal calibration of inspection equipment, and the organisation of external calibration. Provide clear and professional internal communication of issues through the generation of reports, mails, attending of meetings, chairing Quality circles, briefings, and presentations. Design and develop process controls such as pins / jigs / template / check sheets / SOP's / working instructions. Assist in maintaining Quality Management System to accreditation ISO9001 & 45001 by performing internal audits and process improvements in line with KPIs. Support the completion of Health and Safety activities assigned to the department o Provide peer training support where training needs may be identified Any ad-hoc duties as required from time to time by the Quality Engineer

Qualifications/Experience:



5+ years' experience in an industrial environment 5+ years' experience within a Quality role o Relevant Engineering qualification Skills & Knowledge: Display competence with the operation and application of various traditional inspection equipment Display competence with the utilization of different inspection methods and techniqueso A basic understanding of GD&T Good understanding of Quality Mythologies such as; o Total Quality Management o ISO o Kaizan o Lean Manufacturing o PDCA o 5s o Process Mapping Display competence with the application of Quality tools such as 5 whys, 4Ms, and Cause & Effect diagrams to aid root cause analysis Strong ability to create and implement working instructions, check sheets, SOPs Good report writing skills Good independent learning and working skills Complementary / Experience
Salary 30,000

Hours- Monday to Friday days
