Are you an experienced Quality Engineer or Inspector with precision manufacturing experience looking to join an established family-run engineering business?

My client is an established firm in the engineering manufacturing sector, based near Walsall commutable from Pool Green, Aldridge, Burntwood, Sutton Coldfield, Dudley and Wolverhampton and surrounding areas. They are currently looking for an experienced Quality Engineer with a background in precision engineering and manufacturing to join their growing team.

The Role

• Working on quality projects for the precision manufacturing of components, jigs, fixtures and tooling for Aerospace industries and similar.
• Working closely with the Head of Quality and Chief Inspector.
• Root Cause Analysis
• Improvement Projects
• Non-Conformance Control
• First Principles Inspection
• Auditing to ISO 9001 and AS9100 standard
• Hands-on inspection using measuring tool
• Dealing with customers face-to-face
• Working to specifications

Key Skills / Experience Required

• Must have previous experience working as a Quality Inspector or Quality Engineer within an engineering or manufacturing industry, preferably Aerospace, Precision Machining or Automotive.
• Has an understanding or working knowledge of First Principles
• Experience of auditing to ISO 9001:2015 or AS9100 standards
• Quality checking experience on metal components or products
• Confident in using measuring tools such as verniers, callipers, micrometres or height gauges or similar.
• Self-motivated, enthusiastic and a high standard of personal performance
• Flexible, reliable and a strong team player
• Commutable to Walsall with access to your own vehicle.

The Package - Quality Engineer

• Salary \xc2\xa330k-\xc2\xa338k per annum, depending on skill level and experience
• 33 days holiday (including bank holidays)
