Quality Engineer

A global leader in responsible packaging for a variety of industries including food, beverage, pharmaceutical and medical to name a few, are looking for a shift engineer to join their team.

Responsibilities:

• Log and manage customer complaints from initial communication through to communication of root cause and corrective actions.
• Carry out compliance activities such as carrying out audits and driving improvement plans.
• Investigate and troubleshoot internal product and process quality issues and solve with robust customer & Supplier Corrective Actions
• Work with suppliers to ensure supply of quality raw materials.
• Monitor and analyse operations quality performance and act on declining trends.
• Support Operations through communication and shop-floor briefs.
• Enhance customer satisfaction through direct two-way communication.
• Occasional travel to customers or suppliers may be necessary.
• Assist customer services with all quality related enquires / complaints.

Person:

• Experience working in a QA environment for manufacturing that complies with food contact standards is essential.
• Experience working professionally with customers and suppliers is essential.
• Formal qualifications in a relevant technical/quality related field (Degree, HNC/D, Higher/Advanced apprenticeship) isessential.
• Experience carrying out internal process audits and being part of external certification audits would be desirable.
• Excellent team player
• Good computer skills with knowledge of data visualization would be desirable.
• In depth technical knowledge of printing processes and techniques would be desirable.
