Job Summary


We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Quality Engineer to join our team. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in ensuring that our products meet the highest quality standards. This position involves implementing quality assurance processes, analysing data, and adhering to principles to maintain compliance and improve product quality.

Duties



Carry out internal audits on Quality and Safety Policies and Procedures and ensure they are up to date, reflect actual working practice and accurate with current legislation. Implement NCRs, corrective actions and reviews resulting from Internal audits. Assist in the re-write of manuals and procedures as and when required, with regard to all future changes to quality procedures and legislation affecting QHSE. Monitor the reporting of Incidents/Accidents by maintaining monthly H&S statistics for presentation to management, clients and members of staff. Maintain welding database for WPQR, WPS and welder qualifications. Co-ordinate new welding procedures when required Perform risk based assessments on all business activities either in workshop/office ensuring that high risk processes are identified, minimised and controlled. Manage Permit to Works, Lifting Plans, Risk Assessments to control and mitigate potential hazards in workshop and yard. Provide training and toolbox talks as appropriate, to include assistance with, Method Statements and Safe Systems of Work. Carry out Safety Inductions and in-house safety training. Facility Management. Liaise with various third parties to ensure that the building remains fit for purpose and meets all legislative requirements. Ensure all machinery is maintained for safe use with up to date maintenance record. Fire alarms/extinguishers are tested and recorded. Participate in quality/safety meetings if required Coordinate with client and third party inspections/ Audits Carry out inspection which will include: welding, dimensional and mechanical inspections. Assist other departments on inspection when required Compiling data packs/ dossiers

Qualifications



Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Quality Assurance, or a related field is preferred. Proven experience in a quality engineering role or similar position within a manufacturing environment.

Pay: 35,000.00-45,000.00 per year
