Do you have knowledge of quality systems and measurement, and are you seeking a site based role in the Cwmran area? Jonathan Lee Recruitment is looking for a full-time Quality Engineer to ensure that the products produced meet the quality standards required to minimise quality costs and maximise customer satisfaction. This full-time role comes with an attractive salary and benefits package.

You will ensure all incoming parts from the supply chain meet the specified quality criteria set by the company. The Quality Engineer will work mostly independently and ensure incoming materials meet required quality standards, identifying and raising quality issues and speedily resolving them to ensure zero impact on the customer. You may be required to travel to other company sites, customers, and suppliers, including some international travel.

To give you an idea of how this Quality Engineer role would look and feel, here are some things you could expect to do:

• Manage all quality-related issues within the manufacturing team
• Identify root cause and instigate permanent corrective actions for product quality issues
• Carry out product auditing
• Ensure control plans and associated documentation are implemented effectively and maintained
• Monitor and report on quality-related key performance indicators, including scrap monitoring and rework levels

To apply for this Quality Engineering role you will need a relevant business or manufacturing or engineering degree, or BTec Diploma Level 4 or equivalent NVQ level 4 qualification.

You will also require:

• Knowledge of quality systems and measurement
• Knowledge of Advanced Product Quality Planning (APQP), Production Part Approval Process (PPAP), Failure Mode and Effect Analysis FMEA
• Lean Manufacturing knowledge
• An understanding of ISO9001
• Understanding of engineering drawings and manufacturing processes
