Job Description

Purpose of Post:



The Jaq. Group is a fast-moving e-commerce company which has experienced considerable growth over the last year. As the Warehouse Quality Controller your primary responsibility will be to ensure that all outgoing orders meet the company's quality standards, ultimately contributing to optimal customer satisfaction. You will be responsible for conducting thorough checks on orders, monitoring adherence to procedures, providing support to your team members, and identifying opportunities for process improvement.

Please note that the standard hours of work are Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM, with a rotating Saturday shift required once every four weeks.



Key Tasks:



Quality Check and monitioring: Perform comprehensive quality checks on all orders once they have been picked and packed to ensure that they meet the company's set standards for accuracy, condition and attention to detail.

Compliance: Ensuring that products and processes comply with relevant industry standards, postal regulations, and company procedures.

Spot Checks: Conduct regular spot checks on selected orders to proactively identify any errors or discrepancies before they are dispatched to customers to ensure company profits are maximised.

Documentation: Maintaining records of audit and any quality issues identified to be escalating to the despacth managers.

Error Tracing and Feedback: If any repeat errors are identified, trace them back to the relevant packer and report the the despatch managers, providing constructive feedback or suggesting additional training to rectify the issues.

Support and Guidance: Provide training to team members as and when required by the despatch managers, ensuring that they understand the quality requirements and helping them improve their skills.

Order Fulfillment: Alongside the quality checks, assist in picking products from daily orders and package finished orders with the appropriate packaging (e.g., boxes, bags, envelopes, promotional material) for efficient despatch.

Courier Coordination: Transport courier sacks to the collection point, ensuring the packages are ready for timely and efficient loading by the courier service.

Process Improvement: Constantly seek opportunities to improve warehouse processes and efficiency, contributing to the overall growth and success of the company.

Reporting: Report any recurring or major issues to management promptly, allowing them to address the problems accordingly.

Timely Order Fulfillment: Ensure that all customer orders are fulfilled in a timely manner, reducing delivery delays and enhancing customer satisfaction.

Communication: Collaborating with different departments, such as production and customer service to communicate quality issues and coordinate improvement efforts.

Undertake any other duties and responsibilities as required, that are within the competence of the post.
