Job Description
International Fish Canners is part of a fast-growing group of companies, including Nor-Sea Foods and Nolan Seafoods based in Fraserburgh and Aberdeen. It produces a variety of quality fish products largely under private label for a worldwide customer base. We trade principally in the Pelagic species - Mackerel, Herring and Sprats and Whitefish - Haddock and Whiting and Salmon
We have a requirement for a:
QC Technician - Full-time
This is a full-time position, working dayshift hours on the 9-day fortnight (week 1 = Monday to Friday, week 2 = Monday to Thursday).
The successful candidate must be a motivated individual with a hands-on approach as well as a good understanding of the principles and practices of Quality Management and Good Manufacturing Processes (GMP). Good communication skills, attention to detail and flexibility are also required.
Duties will include:
Carrying out quality assurance checks on all areas of the production line. Monitoring standards of food safety. Verifying and helping enforce Good Manufacturing Practices. Completing all forms and paperwork accurately and in a timely manner. Following and understanding standards and procedures. Collecting and preparing any samples as and when required.
