ABP is one of Europe's leading privately owned food processors. The group operates across many businesses, spanning Ireland, the UK and Continental Europe and consist of 4 separate divisions; ABP Beef, ABP Proteins, ABP Renewables and ABP Pet Foods. ABP have recently acquired Janan Meat Ltd which is one of Europe's leading providers of British quality lamb and mutton who supply to customers across the UK, EU, Canada UAE, Middle East and beyond.



We have an exciting opportunity for a Quality Auditor to join our team. The ideal candidate for this role would have experience in auditing, compliance work and a sound understanding of the food industry. However, this is not compulsory and there will be ample training opportunities provided to the job holder.



A willingness to learn and an enthusiastic, professional attitude towards an exciting role within the industry is essential.

Knowledge/Skills/Qualifications

You must be able to demonstrate a background and understanding of working within a busy food production environment. The candidate will enjoy challenging, problem-solving roles and be ideally suited to a fast-paced environment. You will need have good interpersonal skills and ability to multi-task.

Desirable you have Food Safety level 2 and HACCP Level 2 - if not training will be given You must have good communication skills both verbal and written English Ability to communicate at all levels Have the desire to learn and progress Intermediate IT skills Attention to detail Team Player Able to work to deadlines Desirable you have working knowledge within the meat industry and an understanding of animal welfare

Key Responsibilities:

Responsibilities include but aren't exclusive to:

Undertake daily, weekly, monthly technical tasks within the standard operating procedures Preforming documented quality checks and monitor performance to ensure that food safety and quality standards are followed. Ensure that all records are completed correctly and stored in the correct manner Understands requirements of internal, second and third party standards in the manufacturing area. Understands non-conformance and reporting requirements for non-conformance and escalate to management. Conduct basic root cause analysis for defects, non-conformances or other quality failures
