About Hinkley Point C

The first new nuclear power station to be built in the UK in over 20 years; Hinkley Point C in Somerset will provide low-carbon electricity for around 6 million homes, create thousands of jobs and bring lasting benefits to the UK economy.



Marking a significant milestone in the revitalisation of our nuclear power industry, Hinkley Point C will make a major contribution to the UKs move to reduce carbon emissions. The electricity generated by its two EPR reactors will offset 9 million tonnes of carbon dioxide emissions a year.

What you'll be doing

Specific tasks and responsibilities relevant to a QA/Project Engineer working in the

construction engineering field, focusing on ensuring the quality and efficiency of installation works and project documentation.
Assist QA Area Lead in ensuring that the Project Quality Assurance requirements are understood and implemented and to ensure that Client and statutory requirements are effectively met. Support QA Area Lead for the activities such as developing standards, incorporating lessons learned / best practices in the quality system, training on quality, audits and quality improvements. Compiling Construction Work Packages (CWPs) for Installation Works. Transferring Paper Copies of CWPs into SWITCH. Progress and Backlog Updates.

Who we're looking for

Qualifications in an Engineering discipline, ONC / HNC / HND (or equivalent

experience).
Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or related field. Previous experience in construction engineering or project management roles within the construction industry. Familiarity with construction management software and digital platforms such as

SWITCH.
Knowledge of construction industry standards, regulations, and best practices. Ability to gain a security clearance.
