The role will support the Quality function of the Industrial business unit and provide a range of project, planning and operational support. The apprentice will assist the Quality Engineering and Quality Inspection teams with data analytics and will develop report writing skills through practical experience. Hands-on activities will be required to gather the data and to understand the problems needing improvement.
The apprentice will follow a remote learning pathway spending 20% of their working week attending remote learning sessions. Upon completion of the 18-month apprenticeship, they will be awarded the Quality Practitioner Standard Level 4. Progression onto a level 5 apprenticeship in a business-related subject will be considered following completion. An Apprentice will support different departments and work in a supervised environment for the majority of their training period.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:Provides support to various departments / department leads during their training period completing work assignments as directed by the local Supervisor.
Learns about products, processes, machinery, systems, culture and people through completion of the Apprenticeship scheme.
Provides reports, analysis and statistical data as required by local management.
May assist with system and process audits as well as document review.
May provide support and guidance to other Apprentices and to the HR Manager in delivering induction / hiring activities, presentations etc.
Representative Qualifications:3 A Levels (minimum 3C's) with one of the subjects being Maths.
Have a strong interest in problem solving, data analytics and statistics
Competent in the use of Microsoft Office including Excel
