Quality Assurance and Central Laboratories Manager

Fully site based - Lowestoft

We have an excellent opportunity to join Nomad Foods as a Quality Assurance and Central Laboratories Manager. As a key member of the Site Leadership Team (SLT), you'll lead the QA, Central Laboratory and Hygiene teams at one of our biggest sites.
Responsibilities:

About the role...

Lead the Lowestoft Quality Assurance, Central Laboratory and Hygiene Teams to provide specialist support to ensure the safety, legality, and quality of Birds Eye products. Provide strategic input and support for the achievement of factory and business objectives. Be a key member of the Site Leadership Team (SLT).

Lead Quality Assurance, Laboratory and Hygiene teams, controlling budgets and strategic direction. Providing support service to manufacturing operation to ensure compliance with the QMS, Food Safety and Legal requirement. Promoting technical support to factory and business projects. Leading activity to drive quality and efficiency improvements. Establishing positive relationships with relevant Regulatory Authorities. Ensure that specifications and HACCP principles are in place to deliver safe products.
Lead Central Laboratory function across all standards including HACCP verification, risk evaluation and legislation.


Qualifications:

About you...

We need someone who is motivated to shape and deliver a professional service to the Lowestoft SU. Able to work in collaboration with management and employees ensuring the continuous improvement of the service. They are recognised as being the expert in their area of responsibility and have the ability to positively impact and influence others.Expertise in HACCP, Microbiology, Chemistry and Quality Assurance systems. Experience of working in the food industry essential. Proven experience of leading and maintaining BRC audits with success. Strong experience of process improvement within a manufacturing environment essential. * Management of multiple teams and can lead with strategic decisions.
