Jigsaw School has an exciting opportunity for a qualified teacher with experience of teaching the UK National Curriculum to lead a class of 3-6 pupils, providing 1:1 and small group support to enhance pupil progress. You will become an integral part of our qualified teaching team with oversight of planning and implementation of school-wide curriculum for your specialised subject.

31,350
(plus regular salary progression upon completion of training)
Hours:
Monday, Wednesday, Thursday: 8:45am - 4:45pm, Tuesday: 8:45am - 5:30pm Friday: 8:45am - 4:30pm Part time working is considered - 3 or 4 days per week (working days must include a Tuesday)
Annual Leave:
56 days school holiday
How will you contribute to the team?
Provide teaching to a small class of pupils, following individualised curriculums
Plan and implement school wide curriculum for your specialised subject and organise themed days and events such as healthy eating week and safer internet day
Manage pupils' curriculum targets and delivery of vocational qualifications
Support pupils' participation in trips, applying theory-based learning to practice
Provide behaviourally based support to replace and reduce behaviours that impact quality of life
Collect, record and analyse data to monitor progress and improve learning programmes
Assist with breaktime duties including playground support and snack time

What do you need to apply?
Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or Qualified Teaching & Learning Status (QTLS)
Mainstream teaching experience within the UK school system and an understanding of the UK National Curriculum
An understanding and interest in Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND)
Comfortable working with children who exhibit behaviours that challenge
Comfortable supporting others with personal/intimate care where required
Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to liaise professionally with all stakeholders
