Job Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and passionate qualified Practitioner to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for providing high-quality care and education to infants and toddlers in a nurturing environment. Your primary focus will be on fostering the development of young children while ensuring their safety and well-being. The ideal candidate will possess strong communication skills, a background in early childhood education, and the ability to manage a dynamic nursery setting.

Duties

Create and maintain a safe, stimulating, and welcoming environment for babies. Plan and implement engaging activities that promote physical, emotional, and cognitive development. Observe and assess children's progress, documenting milestones and communicating with parents. Collaborate with colleagues to ensure consistent care and support for each child. Manage daily routines including feeding, nappy changing, and nap times. Foster positive relationships with children, parents, and staff through effective communication. Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations within the nursery setting.

Experience

A qualification in Early Childhood Education or equivalent is essential. Previous experience working with children in a nursery or childcare setting is highly desirable. Demonstrated leadership skills to guide and support junior staff members. Strong ability to communicate effectively in English with children, parents, and colleagues. Experience in managing children's behaviour positively and constructively. A genuine passion for working with young children and contributing to their development.
