We have an exciting opportunity for a Dental Nurse to join our team in state-of-the-art private dental practice in Thornbury. We offer all services in house including Implants, aligners and sedation, and training in area's you wish to excel in will be readily supported.

Experience in Implant nursing is preferred however not essential. Training can be given to upskill in this area.
The main duties will include:
Provide chair side assistance, ensuring that the correct equipment is available
Accurately complete patient clinical records as directed
Assisting the Dentists and Practice Manager with all clinical aspects of the surgery, maintaining compliance standards throughout
Providing excellent patient care at every stage of the patient journey
Maintaining cross infection controls, with a good understanding of HTM 01-05
Develop and file radiographs
Complete laboratory request forms, keep records of work sent, received and fitted
Ensure adequate stocks of materials and other items within the surgery
Following the ordering procedure to order new stock supplies as necessary
Ensure computer/written records are accurately maintained and securely stored
Liaise with reception to ensure smooth patient communications and transfer of records
To provide leadership and management of the DCP team in order to ensure that the practice operates efficiently
To be accountable for the security, stock control and ordering of all clinical materials ensuring tight control of expenditure within budgetary constraints
Take on additional responsibility and tasks to support the dentist and the Practice Manager
Requirements:
Qualified Dental Nurse with relevant certifications
Excellent organisational skills
Proficient in English, both spoken and written
IT skills for maintaining digital records
Strong focus on patient care and comfort
Ability to communicate effectively with patients and colleagues
Sedation and/or X-ray trained (preferred, but not essential)
