We're looking for a dedicated and passionate team player who lives and breathes quality assurance. As a QA Manager, you'll lead our quality assurance team, set high standards, and drive a culture of excellence across the business. You'll play a crucial role in ensuring compliance in production and fulfilment processes, supporting the Technical Manager, and overseeing audits and quality management systems. This is a hands-on, factory-based role where you'll work closely with the operations team to drive continuous improvements and make a real impact.

Essential Job Functions

Support Operations

: Ensure safe, high-quality production.

Compliance

: Apply relevant standards and ensure food safety based on HACCP principles.

Technical SOPs

: Review and ensure compliance.

HACCP

: Drive factory-wide implementation.

Communication

: Manage internal and external stakeholder communication.

Quality Culture

: Promote and support a quality culture.

Team Development

: Conduct meetings and performance reviews.

Risk Assessment

: Evaluate and manage risks for new processes or products.

Health & Safety

: Conduct and promote safety risk assessments.

New Product Development

: Oversee trials and manage technical responsibilities.

QA Tasks

: Ensure completion and corrective actions.

Pest Control

: Manage pest control.

Non-Conformance

: Handle logs and investigations.

Audits

: Conduct and contribute to internal and customer audits.

Product Quality

: Implement Right First Time (RFT) principles.

Continuous Improvement

: Drive improvements using CI tools.

Lab Testing

: Coordinate and manage testing plans.

Product Validation

: Ensure regular validation and improvement.

Technical Folders

: Maintain audit readiness.

Calibration

: Manage the calibration schedule.

Support Technical Manager

: Assist with daily tasks and deputize when needed.

Traceability Exercises

: Conduct and manage exercises.

Customer Complaints

: Investigate and resolve complaints.

GMP Audits

: Conduct and drive improvements from weekly audits.

Taste Panels

: Conduct and investigate issues from panels.

Glass & Hard Plastic Audits

: Support and close audits on time.

Education / Experience / Skills

Degree in food science or relevant discipline.

Hands-on experience in a food manufacturing environment.

Level 3 HACCP qualification.

Proven track record in product safety and quality management.

Experience leading a team and influencing stakeholders.

Strong process improvement and data interpretation skills.

Excellent communication and IT skills, including Excel.

Attention to detail, self-motivated, and team-oriented.

Strong organizational and problem-solving skills.

Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.

Continuous improvement mindset with a positive approach.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: 38,000.00 per year
