You\xe2\x80\x99ll be someone who is both comfortable working proactively and managing your own tasks, as well as confident collaborating with others and communicating regularly with senior managers, directors, and BDO\xe2\x80\x99s partners to help businesses effectively. You\xe2\x80\x99ll be encouraged to identify and draw attention to opportunities for enhancing our delivery and providing additional services to organisations we work with.

You will be experienced in owning and driving the bid process from end to end \xe2\x80\x93 holding relationships with senior stakeholders with the gravitas to challenge. You will also be experienced in leading members of broader bid and other resources such as design. In this role you\xe2\x80\x99ll:

• Have ultimate responsibility for the bid team approach on strategically important opportunities.
• Lead on the identification of win themes and win strategy.
• Lead on proposition development.
• Have oversight of quality control.
• Lead presentation coaching and provide one to one coaching of partners and senior delivery team.
• Challenge the team and deliver tough messages in a constructive manner.
• Partner and team strategic sounding board.
• Conduct external debriefs and analyse trends.

You\xe2\x80\x99ll be someone with:

• Experience in pursuit leadership with a strong motivation to \xe2\x80\x98win\xe2\x80\x99.
• Considerable experience of working in a bids and pursuits team (ideally from a professional services business with leadership responsibility).
• People management skills and experience.
• A thorough understanding and experience of bid strategy development through to \xe2\x80\x98end-to end\xe2\x80\x99 strategy execution.
• The ability to develop senior stakeholder relationships with the gravitas to be \xe2\x80\x98at the table\xe2\x80\x99 and be seen as a trusted adviser.
• The ability to develop networks across the firm and at all levels.
• The ability to develop a \xe2\x80\x98strategic view\xe2\x80\x99 and challenge the status quo.
• The ability to present concepts and ideas to teams drawing upon deep experience of large-scale bids.
• A degree/ relevant professional qualification is desired (but not essential).
