W Edinburgh will bring bold architecture and a vibrant lifestyle offering to the Scottish capital. Behind a fa\xc3\xa7ade featuring a winding steel ribbon \xe2\x80\x93 reflecting the city\xe2\x80\x99s festival spirit \xe2\x80\x93 this 12-storey structure will be the centerpiece of Nuveen Real Estate\xe2\x80\x99s Edinburgh St James Quarter, incorporating retail, leisure and entertainment facilities along with residential apartments.

This W hotel aims to help redefine the city\xe2\x80\x99s hospitality landscape. Accordingly, it\xe2\x80\x99ll fuse the brand\xe2\x80\x99s signature amenities with modern design and W Happenings, highlighting what\xe2\x80\x99s new in design, fashion, music and culture.

The new W hotel will accommodate guests across 244 stylish guestrooms, including 45 suites. While staying here, guests will benefit from the brand\xe2\x80\x99s signature Whatever / Whenever service philosophy.

A real highlight of this property will be its rooftop bar and outdoor terrace, pairing exciting cocktails and cuisine with 360-degree views over the historic city. Among the other noteworthy amenities planned are the W Lounge, a restaurant collaboration with SushiSamba, a FIT workout facility and an AWAY spa, with special functions hosted in 2,450 sq ft of modern event space.

ABOUT THE ROLE

Reporting to the Director of Finance, the Purchasing Manager at W Edinburgh will have overall responsibility for ensuring the hotel follows the Company\xe2\x80\x99s established purchasing procedures, establish an approved vendor list for all departments, and assist in identifying new vendors where needed.

Joining the pre-opening team means you will be instrumental to the success of the hotel\xe2\x80\x99s opening and beyond. We are looking for someone who is organized, detail-oriented and understands luxury!

As Purchasing Manager, key aspects of your role will include:

• Ensure every department\xe2\x80\x99s purchasing needs are met
• Assist Heads of Departments in all aspects of purchasing to ensure quality and profitability
• Ensure accurate administration of all invoices, and adherence to proper bookkeeping procedures
• Maintain inventory controls for proper levels, dating, rotation, requisitions
• Complete period end inventory
• Assist the Executive Chef in maintaining/reducing budgeted food/controllable costs
• Communicate with kitchen, restaurant management and vendors to ensure timing of deliveries satisfies advanced food production needs
• Ensure that proper safeguards are in effect for the security of the food and beverage storeroom assets.
