Job Description
Robert Half are currently working with a growing distribution company who are looking for a purchasing assistant to join the team. Our Client have a reputation for providing localised, efficient and reliable service across the UK. The future sees them developing and exciting new expansion programme into emerging markets. As purchasing assistant you will provide a variety of administrative support to the purchasing team.
This is a permanent site based role in Swindon, paying \xc2\xa328,000.
Responsibilities
- Raise orders for an established customer base, purchasing goods, and ensure timely delivery to customers in accordance with requirements.
- Proactively take ownership of stock and service levels
- Analyse stock levels to determine appropriate order schedules
- Handle and reconcile invoices
- Establish and maintain strong relationships with suppliers and customers
- Support the purchasing team in day to day administration
- Experience in an administrative role
- Highly numerate, with excellent attention to detail
- Resourceful and independent with a willingness to learn
- Excellent communication skills
- Professional and positive out look
- Able to work in a fast paced environment
