Grafton Banks Finance are delighted to be supporting a well-established company based near Eastbourne. Our client is seeking a Purchase Ledger/Accounts Payable Manager on a long-term, temporary basis. The successful candidate will be supporting the Head of Finance with overseeing and managing the purchase ledger and supporting the purchase ledger team.

Duties may include:

  • Bi-weekly payment runs, including multi-currency payments.
  • Supporting the AP team with objectives and managing workloads.
  • Submission of VAT returns
  • Day-to-day management of the team, ensuring invoices are entered promptly.
  • Manage and build relationships with suppliers and stakeholders, resolving any queries that arise.
  • Cash forecast reporting, monitoring bank accounts where necessary
  • Control of setting up new vendors
  • Ad hoc duties across the team
Skills/experience required for this role:
  • Ability to start at short/immediate notice due to the temporary nature of the role.
  • Strong AP/purchase ledger experience, ideally with supervising or managing a team
  • Strong IT/accounts systems skills, including Excel
  • Experience of VAT submissions
