Location: Gateshead

Salary: \xc2\xa323,000 \xe2\x80\x93 \xc2\xa326,000 per annum.

Job type: Full Time \xe2\x80\x93 Temp to Permanent.

The Role:

This position as Purchase Ledger Clerk will see you working for a business who are team orientated and have been through an exciting year seeing turnover double over previous years. Proactive is the best way to describe this business who are never sitting still and always on the move upwards. The role as Purchase Ledger Clerk will see you working within a close-knit team.

Duties Include:

Duties will include but is not limited to:

  • Creating purchase orders.
  • Processing all purchase invoices, coding up and resolving any invoice approval issues.
  • Reconcile supplier statements and resolve any resulting queries and discrepancies.
  • Setting up new supplier accounts.
  • Prepare for weekly payment runs.
  • Bank reconciliation.
  • Dealing with supplier queries promptly and accurately.
  • Managing the creditors ledger so it is up to date and as tidy as possible.
  • Ordering company supplies.
  • Preparing month end accrual.
  • Support team members with workload during time of absence and peak periods.
Essential Skills Required:
  • Accuracy and competency.
  • Attention to detail.
  • Self-motivated to work on your own as well as part of a team.
Desired Skills Required:
  • Sage 50 Accounts.
  • 3 years\xe2\x80\x99 experience.
  • Payroll and Sales ledger experience would be an advantage.
