About the job:
This purchase ledger clerk position is based in our friendly Bourne End office. The job will involve looking after our creditor accounts. You will be responsible for ensuring invoices are processed in a timely manner.
The successful candidate for this role will need to be adaptable, have a great work ethic, be organised and use their initiative daily.
We will provide any relevant training. You will also be supported by our Accounts Supervisor as well as the purchasing team.
We are looking for a great candidate that we can help grow to become an integral part of our business. Excellent candidates with a more varied accounting background would be welcome to get involved in other aspects of our accounts department such as VAT and Payroll.
You would be responsible for keeping the purchase ledgers up to date, dealing with supplier queries and our purchase order requirements. You will be the first point of contact for our suppliers with respect to the accounting function.
Duties will include:
Processing and completing all purchase invoices through our Sage 200 finance system and raising any queries internally and externally where necessary.
Processing weekly payment runs
Reconciling supplier statements.
Processing any ad hoc payments such as supplier proforma payments and raising these on the system
Providing cover for other team members within the department
Assisting the Accounts Supervisor
