Job Description

We are looking for an experienced Prototype Manufacturing Technician to join our team specializing in manufacturing for Components Business Segment in Huddersfield.

This is a permanent contract working 35 hours per week. Monday - Thursday 7am-3pm and Friday 7am-12pm, with potential of night shifts.

Salary is up to \xc2\xa340,000 depending on skills and experience.

In this role, you will make an impact in the following ways:
\xc2\xb7Manufacture complex components working directly from engineering drawings with a pro-active problem solving approach using a range of manufacturing methods and equipment
\xc2\xb7Interpret and understand complex engineering drawings and models
\xc2\xb7Engage in improvement activity within work area to improve operational performance
\xc2\xb7Ensure quality is maintained to engineering standards and drive quality ownership
\xc2\xb7Create and develop documented procedures while engaging in best practice
\xc2\xb7Drive continuous improvement activities relating to manufacturing methodologies
\xc2\xb7Communicate with other members of the department to ensure workflow and customer requirements are met

To be successful in this role you will need the following:
\xc2\xb7Requires significant relevant work experience or specialized skills obtained through education, training or on-the-job experience
\xc2\xb7Grinding experience (essential)
\xc2\xb7Manufacturing background
\xc2\xb7Computer literature
