Property ParalegalGuildfordSalary dependent on experienceOur well-established client is seeking an experienced Property Paralegal to join their Real Estate Team, based at their Guildford office.The real estate department handles all manner of residential and commercial property-related matters from Landlord and Tenant to Construction and Development, Asset Management, Utilities, Conveyancing and Property Finance experience within these areas is essential.Job Purpose:xc2xb7 Legal Executive or Paralegal required to undertake a wide variety of residential property matters.xc2xb7 To operate as an effective member of the Guildford real estate team, working on a variety of residential property transactions to include acquisitions and disposals, as well as plot sales.xc2xb7 The individual is expected to develop good working relationships with clients and other team members.xc2xb7 Achieve the targets as defined by the Group Head/Head of Department, including contribution, hours and fees.Responsibilities and Duties:xc2xb7 To participate and contribute to the Real Estate group to ensure an effective working environment, supporting Associates and Partners on more complex matters as appropriate.xc2xb7 Attend relevant technical training to ensure that skills and knowledge remain up-to-date.xc2xb7 To attend and contribute to group meetings.xc2xb7 Continuously develop their own technical expertise.xc2xb7 Maintain awareness of the legal market specifically relating to commercial property.xc2xb7 To promote the vision and culture of the Firm.xc2xb7 To maintain a culture where individuals are encouraged to identify problems or mistakes and are encouraged to speak up to ensure issues are resolved.Knowledge, Skills and Experience Required:xc2xb7 Previous residential property experience is preferred, but all candidates will be considered.xc2xb7 Knowledge of property legislation and relevant case law.xc2xb7 Able to effectively manage a busy caseload and their time to achieve client and internal deadlines.xc2xb7 Understanding the importance of client care with an ability to deal with a wide range of clients with differing objectives including being able to understand the commercial objectives of the client.xc2xb7 Able to work within a team and provide support to Associates and Partners as appropriate.xc2xb7 Confident Excel skills.xc2xb7 Competent IT skills including Outlook, Word, Digital Dictation and time recording systems.xc2xb7 Ability to draft documentation with attention to detail.xc2xb7 Understanding of the strategy and vision of the firm.xc2xb7 Communicate effectively with clients, in writing, over the telephone and in meetings.xc2xb7 Convey technical legal information in an effective and accessible way.Benefits:xc2xb7 25 days holiday (of which 3.5 are taken during the Christmas period), plus Birthday holiday, plus Bank Holidays.xc2xb7 Life Assurancexc2xb7 Private Healthcarexc2xb7 Employee Assistance Programmexc2xb7 Sodexo Discountsxc2xb7 Pension Schemexc2xb7 Interest free season ticket loansxc2xb7 Cycle to work schemexc2xb7 Discounts on Legal work
