Job Salary: Starting salary \xc2\xa320,400 (full time)

Contract Type: Permanent

Hours: Full time and part time available (minimum 3 days/week)

About the role

Our Project Workers play a vital part of our vision and are responsible for planning and delivering creative, fun, and engaging sessions that enable people to progress and develop their independence.

Core projects include, social & life skills training, sports & wellbeing, men\'s & women\'s groups, a drama group which puts on regular shows, an upcycling & woodwork enterprise, gardening and allotment groups, work experience and a creative arts group.
We embrace staff from different working backgrounds who can use their experience and talents to benefit the lives of people with a learning disability or autism. If you have the passion and desire, we can provide the training and support.

As part of the role, you will work across Buckinghamshire at both our High Wycombe and Aylesbury locations, plus out in the community. You will work alongside people with a learning disability, aged 23 years and older, to meet their individual needs to achieve positive outcomes.

To succeed, you will be able to work as part of a team and independently and have a \'can do\' attitude. You will need to have good communication skills, as well a desire to help people with a learning disability learn new skills, access employment opportunities and build friendships.

About you

  • Ideally experience within a similar position.
  • Good understanding of working with individuals with learning disabilities, autism and mental health difficulties.
  • Demonstrate a consistently high standard of work and attention to detail.
  • Background of supporting within a care or education environment.
  • Strong numerical skills.
  • Good time management and the ability to prioritise your workload.
  • Good working knowledge of all windows packages.
  • Punctual and presentable.
  • Good team player.
  • Willing to learn, as ongoing training is provided.
  • Effective communications with colleagues and the Management team.
  • Calm temperament under pressured conditions.
  • Full UK driving licence and use of a car as you will need to travel to locations across the county.
  • Willingness to travel and transport members, sometimes with wheelchairs.
  • Eligibility to work in the UK.
  • Satisfactory DBS check.
