Work will centre on the Substance Misuse commission, but you will also be involved in work relating to other services. Your role will be to ensure that services deliver against national standards and meet the needs of local people whilst achieving value for money. Strong motivation will be required for this post as well as a willingness to undertake a variety of tasks including engagement with service users, project management, report writing and research, service design and data analysis. You will also be a key point of contact for delivery of the substance misuse contract. Passion for improving the health of the public is vital, as is a desire to expand your skills. You will be supported by a Project Manager in this work.

This role particularly focusses on the substance misuse service but also includes the 0-19 Healthy Child Programme and Healthy Young Minds services. There will be the chance to develop a range of skills in this role. This includes research and analysis, contract management and project management. Co-production, involving work with service users and residents, is central to the work that we do, as is collaborative work with providers delivering these services. Work on developing adult social care services may also be required.
