Job Description

HRS are currently looking for a Project Manager/Scientist - Entomology to join a leading biotech company based in the East London. As the Project Manager/Scientist - Entomology you will play a central role in the contract research division, supporting the division director in the delivery of a portfolio of client laboratory and field projects testing products designed for arthropod control or personal protection.

This is a great opportunity of a PhD graduate of MSc with few years experience with insect lifecycle/entomology that is keen to develop their career outside academia. You will be expected to be 20%-30% in the lab.

Key Duties and Responsibilities

Your duties as the Project Manager/Scientist - Entomology will be varied however the key duties and responsibilities are as follows:

1. In this role, you will design projects plans for new client project and support senior management on project milestones as well as manage and develop client relationships.

2. You will involved in laboratory testing and monitor insects.

3. Another duty will include the development of field and subcontracted services in line with the company objectives and stakeholder management including industrial partners, overseas field laboratories and insectary staff.

Role Requirements

To be successful in your application to this exciting opportunity as the Project Manager/Scientist - Entomology we are looking to identify the following on your profile and past history:

1. Relevant PhD in Entomology or related discipline is desirable for this role.

2. Proven industry experience in entomology or related discipline along with experience of study design and a proven ability to perform statistical analysis on biological data is beneficial.

3. Good communications skills are important for this role.
