World Class Defence Organisation based in Portsmouth (Hybrid position, 3 days a week onsite) is currently looking to recruit a Project Manager subcontractor on an initial 12 month contract.

Hourly Rate: \xc2\xa360.00 (Umbrella)

Contract Duration: 12 Months initially and then ongoing thereafter

Project Manager :

The department are looking for Project Managers with proven project management experience, excellent leadership and communication skills to join the Project Management Team.

The successful applicants will lead the delivery phase of complex military satellite communications projects and provide project initiation and planning expertise in the associated business winning campaigns.
The company adopt the lifecycle guidance recommended by the Project Management Institute (PMI).

You will be responsible for Project Initiation, Planning, Execution, Monitoring and Controlling and Closing of projects delivering complex secure communications infrastructure and services.

You will be responsible for managing projects in accordance with the project lifecycle standards & accountable for the quality, cost and schedule performance of the project

Skills/Experience Required:

Essential\xe2\x80\xa6\xe2\x80\xa6\xe2\x80\xa6..

• A degree or equivalent in project management, business management, or a relevant engineering discipline.
• A good understanding of the PMI Project Management body of knowledge.
• A basic understanding of AGILE project management.
• At least five years\' experience of approving initial briefs/baselines, delivering projects and supporting bids in an engineering environment. Ideally, this will be the communications, aerospace, space or defence industries
