: Norwich, NR7 (No hybrid or remote work)

At MSI-Defence Systems Ltd (MSI-DS) we specialise in Remote Weapon Stations for land-based counter drone and naval applications.

We are recruiting for an experienced

Project Manager

to enhance our team and lead exciting projects that drive our organisation's success.

About the role:



As a

Project Manager

you will be the primary point of contact for customers and stakeholders, ensuring that projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards. You will manage multiple projects from inception to completion, creating and maintaining project schedules, and resolving issues that arise during the project lifecycle. You will be responsible for identifying risks, managing project financials, coordinate resources, and driving continuous improvement in project management practices.

Within this role you will also contribute to the development of best practices and help to foster collaboration within the project team and across departments.

The primary responsibilities will include but are not limited to:

Leading the delivery of assigned projects, ensuring successful completion within agreed timelines, budgets, and quality standards. Acting as the primary liaison with customers to ensure their requirements are met and expectations managed. Creating and maintaining project schedules including resource requirements, and budgets. Identifying, assessing, and mitigating project risks, including compliance with health and safety requirements. Collaborating with cross-functional teams to resolve resource conflicts and project challenges. Tracking project performance including key metrics, financials and identifying areas for improvement. Maintaining accurate project data in project management tools and systems Leading regular project review meetings, both internally and with customers, to communicate progress and resolve issues. Maintaining accurate minutes of all project meetings, and ensure these are distributed to all stakeholders in timely manner Driving process improvement initiatives to enhance project delivery through lesson learned sessions. Any other such duties that may be reasonably compatible with the nature and scope of the role

About the person:



To be a successful candidate for this role you must be able to demonstrate the below attributes and skillsets:

Qualifications/ Education



Qualified to a minimum of a Level 3 standard (A Levels (4 - 9 or A - C), apprenticeship or equivalent)

Technical Skills/ experience



Proven experience managing multiple projects A successful track record of delivering projects within time, budget, and quality constraints An understanding of project management methodologies Proficiency in project management tools such as MS Project, Excel and other relevant software

Personal Specification/ Personal Attributes



Strong communication and stakeholder management skills Ability to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced environment Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams

Desirable

Project management qualifications (e.g., PRINCE2, PMP) Experience in defence or manufacturing sectors Experience with using a ERP or MRP system
