About the Role



Due to continued growth, we are looking to add a

Project Manager

to our expanding team at our Newcastle manufacturing facility. The ideal candidate will have an engineering background with strong experience in fabrication--particularly in

sheet metal and access metalwork products

.

You will oversee a project from initial client contact through to final delivery, managing all technical and commercial aspects while ensuring effective communication between clients, production, and site teams.

Key Responsibilities



Act as the main point of contact for clients throughout the project lifecycle. Manage invoicing, ongoing AFPs (Applications for Payment), and end-of-project cost reviews. Produce quotations based on site surveys and specifications. Prepare detailed job packs for production. Create RAMS (Risk Assessments & Method Statements) and all necessary H&S documentation. Engage with installation teams during design and manufacturing to ensure smooth delivery. Lead and manage relationships with internal departments and subcontractors. Address unexpected costs and negotiate project variations. Monitor and report on project progress, performance, and financials. Identify efficiencies and opportunities for cost savings throughout the project. Drive continuous improvement across project delivery.

Key Skills & Experience



Background in engineering or fabrication. Experience working with

sheet metal

,

access metalwork

, and site installations. Experience in either

Solidworks

or

AutoCAD

would be an advantage, but not essential. Strong commercial awareness and confidence working with figures and budgets. Excellent verbal communication skills and the ability to build strong client relationships. A problem-solving mindset with a proactive, solution-focused approach. Flexible, punctual, and committed to delivering high-quality results.
