Claret Civil Engineering Ltd is a medium sized business in Bury St. Edmunds which operates across a range of sectors including clean water, water recycling, pipeline, industrial and major infrastructure projects. Building on our experienced multidisciplinary team, we offer turnkey Civil Engineering and construction solutions from pre-project feasibility studies to complete Civil Engineering and construction solutions, inclusive of all aspects of project and health and safety management.

This role will be working within the Anglian Water Integrated Maintenance and Repair Water Recycling Alliance comprising of Anglian Water, Clancy, Claret Civil Engineering, Public Sewer Services and Danaher & Walsh, the IMR WRA manages planned and emergency sewer, rising mains and SMART technology installation as well as maintenance and repair across the region.

Job Overview:

To deliver either larger individual or groups of smaller projects to agreed time, cost and quality, whilst ensuring business ownership through the effective management of stakeholders.

To ensure effective management and control of risk, dependencies and delivery planning.

This role will include but is not limited to:



Ensure all project scoping, definition and specification documentation is in place. Review the project 'benefits' both at the start and throughout the project. Ensure all project delivery costs are suitably estimated and reviewed against the Target Cost. Produce all required project documentation to then present it to the approvals group. Ensure project CDM documentation is in place and the project delivered safely, signing-off PCI/CPP documents where necessary. Ensure customer communication plans are in place where appropriate. Ensure all projects are delivered to agreed budget and key milestone dates. Manage changes through formal 'Change Request' and 'Early Warning' processes. Ensure the corporate programme/planning system is kept fully up to date, including dates and costs. Manage regular progress meetings. Attend regular planning meetings. Produce a log and fully understand the project risk, issue and opportunities. Ensure the risk of pollution and flooding is fully understood, with mitigation put into place where necessary. Ensure financial risk is fully understood, managed and reviewed regularly. Proactively work with the wider business to help ensure that risk is controlled, mitigated and resolved appropriately. Co-ordinate all aspects of the project to ensure it is effectively integrated with the wider delivery team and operational managers. Establish effective communications and reporting for project stakeholders, both within the delivery team and the wider business. Arrange peer review meetings with suitable stakeholders before commencing construction, to ensure appropriate buy-in. Escalate issues as appropriate and in a timely manner.

Pay: 45,000.00-58,000.00 per year

Experience:

Site/Construction Project Management: 5 years (required)
