Recent experience of successfully leading the delivery of project outcomes?
Project/Procurement/Contract management experience?

Working as a core member of the Commercial Projects and Recreation team, you will be responsible for devising and delivering a range of projects encompassing property, open space, play, leisure and community facilities across the Borough.

In addition you will be responsible for effectively utilising the project management and contract management corporate toolkits to deliver agreed project outcomes, along with:

• Conducting project appraisals and feasibility studies.
• Managing cross-departmental project teams across the full project management lifecycle.
• Monitoring of all project specific budgets to time and budget with values varying from \xc2\xa31,000 for small individual projects up to multiple millions for the delivery of strategically important projects.
• Full contract management, including managing change, variations and payment applications.
• Developing strategic links with external partners and nurturing relationships that will assist with securing agreements and external funding for projects.
• Ensuring sufficient funding is made available via appropriate S106 contributions for both new developments and refurbishment of existing sites.

You will be expected to work closely with ward members, parish council\'s, portfolio holders and local community groups so it is essential that you are an effective negotiator and have experience in partnership working, both internal and external along with:

• Extensive experience of Project/Procurement/Contract management including specification and tender writing
• Experience of compiling funding applications
• Experience of managing consultants and contractors
• Ability to solve problems based on sound reasoning and professional knowledge, judgement & experience.
• Understanding of the principles of good design
