Job Description

Ziztel Limited is an established manufacturing company supplying specialist telecoms and security products into the Oil & Gas, energy and Defence industries. Our core products are wired Public Address and CCTV systems. The main purpose of the role is to perform a wide range of engineering tasks to enable the company to undertake project fulfilment.

Reporting to the Projects Director, the position involves taking a project from the point of sale through system design, client acceptance and delivery. The job also involves supporting Commissioning Engineers post delivery and installation.

The role is split into the following main activities:

System design:

Taking the project requirements and designing a system to meet them using our standard products and innovating wherever necessary to provide bespoke technical solutions. This part of the job involves the production of engineering drawings and documentation. The package is submitted to the client for approval.

Manufacturing support:

The project documentation pack is used in the manufacturing process. Drawings and documentation require sufficient detail to enable the production staff to build and test the system. Support during the manufacturing process is a key element of the position.

Acceptance testing:

Attendance and hosting of Factory Acceptance Testing events is necessary to ensure that the system has been built and functions as per the client's requirements.

Post-delivery support:

Provide support to the client during the installation phase and to our Commissioning Engineers during Site Acceptance Testing. Provide ongoing support through the life of the system.

Preferred Educational Qualifications and Experience

Computer skills and knowledge of relevant software especially MS Word & Excel, Visio and possibly Auto CAD Technical Engineering qualification in relevant electrical / electronic engineering discipline or relevant industry experience Experience in a similar role or through education
The position may from time to time involve overseas travel.

Pay: 32,625.00-35,346.00 per year
