Dent Steel Services Ltd is offering an exciting opportunity for a Project Engineer to become a key player in our growing company!

Job Summary:

The Project Engineer will play a crucial role in the successful execution of various CAPEX and OPEX projects from inception to completion. The role requires strong organisational and communication skills, the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously, and a proactive approach to problem-solving. The ideal candidate will work closely with the maintenance team, Operations Manager, and other stakeholders to ensure seamless operations and project success.

Key Responsibilities:



Project Management:



Oversee CAPEX and OPEX projects from cradle to grave. Manage contractors to ensure adherence to project schedules and budgets. Prepare and deliver progress reports to stakeholders. Arrange and conduct meetings with appropriate stakeholders to ensure project alignment and address any issues.

Maintenance Support:



Assist the maintenance team with annual services on equipment. Support in troubleshooting and resolving equipment breakdowns and faults.

Operational Assistance:



Provide support to the Operations Manager with day-to-day site activities. Assist in ensuring smooth operations and addressing any immediate operational needs.

Procurement Support:



Assist with the procurement of non-steel materials and supplies. Ensure procurement processes align with company policies and project requirements.
This role will require you to liaise with multiple functions within the organisation, as such, good communication skills, both written and verbal, as well as good organisational skills are needed.

Key Skills:



Strong organisational skills and attention to detail. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to manage multiple projects and tasks simultaneously. Proactive problem-solving skills. Basic understanding of project management principles. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).

Preferred additional skills:



Prior experience in project management or engineering roles. Prior experience in a manufacturing environment Familiarity with CAPEX and OPEX projects. Knowledge of procurement processes and maintenance operations. Design fundamentals with 2D/3D CAD systems (Solidworks).
