About the Role
We are working with a leading financial services organisation seeking an accomplished Projects Director to lead and oversee the delivery of strategic, business-critical initiatives. In this fully remote position, you'll play a pivotal role in driving transformation, managing a diverse portfolio of programmes, and aligning delivery with long-term business goals.
This is a senior leadership role requiring a proven ability to lead large teams, navigate complex regulatory environments, and engage with executive stakeholders to influence and deliver meaningful outcomes.
Key Responsibilities
Direct and oversee the delivery of a portfolio of high-impact projects and programmes.
Lead, mentor, and grow a team of project and programme managers to ensure consistent, high-quality delivery.
Collaborate with executive leadership to align project outcomes with strategic objectives.
Establish and maintain strong governance, risk management, and compliance standards across all projects.
Champion the use of delivery best practices and frameworks (Agile, Waterfall, or hybrid approaches).
Monitor project performance through defined KPIs and reporting, ensuring delivery on time, within scope, and on budget.
Identify and resolve delivery challenges, implementing solutions that drive efficiency and continuous improvement.
Drive a culture of excellence, innovation, and accountability across the project function.
What We're Looking For
Significant experience in project and programme leadership within financial services or a similarly regulated environment.
Strong people management and leadership experience, with a track record of building and scaling high-performing teams.
Deep knowledge of project management methodologies and frameworks (e.g., Agile, PRINCE2, MSP).
Proven ability to engage and influence senior stakeholders, including C-suite and board-level executives.
Solid understanding of financial services compliance, governance, and regulatory frameworks.
Commercially minded with strong financial acumen and budget management experience.
Professional certifications (MSP, PMP, PRINCE2, Agile) are highly desirable.
