We are currently recruiting for a Project Assurance Technician to support our Asset Strategy & Planning team.
EVERYTHING YOU NEED TO KNOW
Reporting to the Capital Assurance Manager, the Project Assurance Technician will be responsible for developing and delivering a suitable risk-based advisory inspection programme of capital and operation asset provision, repair, maintenance and replacement in defined target areas with the Severn Trent and Hafren Dyfrydwy regions. You will monitor compliance with health and safety, environmental, quality and water hygiene requirements, analyse findings for continuous improvement, provide informed insights for construction teams and influence positive culture. You will identify and document root causes for inspection and report findings where appropriate and proactively participate in root cause investigation meetings as required.
WHAT YOU\'LL BRING TO THE ROLE
Ideally degree qualified in a relevant engineering or technical discipline, you will have strong experience of undertaking some form of auditing or inspections. You will have extensive construction sector and project delivery experience, with good communication and organisational/ planning skills. Ideally you will have an understanding of water distribution and waste collection systems including commissioning procedures, and an understanding of water hygiene requirements, however this is not mandatory. What you will have is the ability to work alone using your own initiative, able to influence and communicate to a diverse set of stakeholders at all levels and a willingness to continue improve and personally develop to ensure the assurance team objectives are achieved.
