Role Outline

The Royal Albert Hall is one of the world\'s most iconic entertainment venues, with an unrivalled history of events and performances from world-class artists. The Programming Department is responsible for securing and programming the diverse range of 1000+ events held at the Hall each year, both in our world-famous main auditorium as well as in the Hall\'s Elgar Room space, and beyond. The role of Programming Executive (BTMS) is pivotal in the delivery of the Royal Albert Hall\'s busy programme of concerts, talks, screenings, installations and exhibitions taking place outside the Hall\'s main auditorium - our \xe2\x80\x9cBeyond the Main Stage\xe2\x80\x9d programme. The BTMS team has the responsibility of curating and delivering 160+ events per calendar year, largely taking place in our Elgar Room space but also in other spaces within the building, as well externally and at festivals across the UK.

We are seeking an experienced, highly organised and motivated music and arts programmer to join this team and to be responsible for the coordination and delivery of a proportion of these events. The Programming Executive will work with artists, agents, managers and external producers in the curation of events for the Elgar Room\'s regular series, including the Late Night Jazz series, as well as programming for young children and families, comedy, spoken word and other special projects as directed.

The ideal candidate will have a passion for the arts and live events and in particular up-and-coming artists and contemporary genres, as well as a proven track record of programming and/or producing. You will be a collaborative and flexible team member with excellent interpersonal skills and a self-motivated attitude.

Candidates will need a highly professional manner and excellent attention to detail, with strong administrative skills. The role would suit a confident team player, who thrives in a fun and fast paced environment.
